Terri was one of my first big music guests. It was amazing to have her in studio because I had started listening to her in college and we all loved her. Berlin's music still holds up and whenever I hear it when I'm driving I need to turn up the volume.

Steve Cooper talks with singer Terri Nunn. Terry joined the new wave
techno-pop band for good in 1981. Their greatest success was the
top-selling 1986 single Take My Breath Away, the love theme in the film
Top Gun. It reached the No. 1 spot on the Billboard Hot 100. She also
sang the other hits, Sex (I'm A...), The Metro, No More Words and
Masquerade. In 1985 she left Berlin to embark on a solo career that
included recording a song for the movie Better Off Dead and performing a
duet with Paul Carrack. She also sang with the bands The Sisters of
Mercy and Sin City. She reformed Berlin in 1996 and they have been
performing live in the US and around the world and recording albums
since then including their latest Animal.
